Recently, the official website of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the results of the 16th Beijing Primary and Secondary School Students’ Science Proposal Activity. This year’s event received a total of 12,388 project applications, with a record number of participants. The final 20 first prizes (including 10 Scientific Advice Awards and 10 Nomination Awards for Scientific Proposals) were awarded. Two recommendations from Huairou District Labagoumen Manchu Township Central Primary School, led by Dr. Hong Hui from SCICOOLING, who served as Vice Principal for Science and Technology, achieved excellent results:
“Proposal on Building a Science Theme Park in Huairou” received the Scientific Proposal Nomination Award (only 10 projects in the city, the only one in Huairou District)
The proposal “Suggestions on Popularizing Flash Flood Alarm Devices in Mountainous Households in Beijing” won the third prize for proposals and proposals.
The “Scientific Suggestion Award” is an important science and technology education event hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and organized by the Beijing Children’s Palace. Since 2009, it has been successfully held fifteen times and is one of the three major science and technology activities in primary and secondary schools in Beijing. In recent years, Huairou District has achieved outstanding results in this activity, winning the “Beijing Scientific Advice Award” in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023.
Since settling in Huairou in 2015, SCICOOLING has actively fulfilled its social responsibilities and proactively contributed to education and science popularization activities in Huairou:
In 2020, SCICOOLING became a science popularization demonstration (education) base in Huairou District
In 2023, Dr. Hong Hui, Director of the SCICOOLING Research Institute, was appointed as the Vice Principal of Science and Technology at Labagoumen Manchu Township Primary School. Among the 34 Vice Presidents of Science and Technology that year, SCICOOLING was one of only two representatives of high-tech enterprises
In 2023, at the “Sowing the Dream of Strong Youth, Empowering the Future with Technology” themed event by Vice Principals of Science and Technology Entering Campus, Dr. Hong Hui educated more than 30 students at Lama Goumen Township Primary School on how refrigerators and air conditioners work. The lively and accessible explanations sparked students’ curiosity, and their enthusiastic participation and questioning increased their understanding of the fundamental principles of refrigeration and their exploration of science.
