On the morning of March 30, the appointment ceremony for the second batch of science and technology vice principals of primary and secondary schools in Huairou District was held at the Huairou Campus of No. 101 Middle School. Guo Yanhong, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Huairou Science City, attended the event. Liang Shuang, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Huairou Science City Management Committee, presided over the appointment ceremony. Dr. Hong Hui, Director of our Research Institute, was appointed as the Vice Principal of Science and Technology at Lama Goumen Township Primary School, with a term of two years.
The Vice Principal for Science and Technology activities is organized by the Huairou District Education Commission, leveraging the scientific and educational resources of Huairou Science City to hire scientific and technological talents from the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ research institutes and high-tech enterprises in Huairou as vice principals responsible for science and technology activities at all 34 primary and secondary schools in the district. Since SCICOOLING settled in Huairou in 2015, we have actively fulfilled our social responsibilities and actively contributed to education and science popularization activities in Huairou. In 2020, SCICOOLING became a science popularization demonstration (education) base in Huairou District. Among the 34 Vice Presidents of Science and Technology appointed this time, SCICOOLING is one of only two representatives from high-tech enterprises.
At the 2023 themed event “Sowing the Dream of a Strong Nation Youth, Empowering the Future with Technology” Vice Principal of Science and Technology Enters Campus, Dr. Hong Hui educated more than 30 students at Lama Goumen Township Primary School on how refrigerators and air conditioners work. The lively and accessible explanations sparked students’ curiosity, and their enthusiastic participation and questioning increased their understanding of the fundamental principles of refrigeration and their exploration of science.
